Ministry of Civil Aviation works on increasing capacity of Delhi Airport.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation is working with stakeholders on a roadmap to increase Airside Capacity of Delhi Airport from the current 67 movements per hour to 95 movements per hour at peak time in the next three years. By the end of 2017 the Airside Capacity is expected to rise by 10 percent, with around 72 to 73 movements per hour.

Briefing media persons in New Delhi today, the Minister of State for Civil Aviation Shri Jayant Sinha said that with the increase in airside capacity it is expected that the passenger movement at Delhi airport would also rise from the current 60 million passengers to about 90 million passengers annually . Shri Sinha said that the Ministry will soon put in place a Master Plan for expansion of Airside Capacity and Terminal Capacity at the airport to accommodate the increase in passenger volume.

UK's leading air navigation service provider NATS is closely involved in guiding the airside expansion and is giving inputs on how much the airport capacity can be expanded. Shri Jayant Sinha said that the Ministry is constituting a Flight Operations Committee with immediate effect to work out the modalities for the expansion. He said the committee would meet every month and guide and facilitate close cooperation in this regard among the various stakeholders including Air Traffic Control, Airlines and Airport Operator. NATS will also be associated with the Flights Operations Committee.

Regarding expansion of terminal capacity Shri Sinha said that the plan was to shift operations from Terminal – I to Terminal -2, expand Terminal- I, bring down Terminal-2 and build Terminal-4.

Union Minister of Human Resource Development, Shri Prakash Javadekar has assured the teacher fraternity and staff of Education Institutions, University and Colleges of getting justice in their remuneration related matters. Addressing media persons here in New Delhi, the Minister said the Seventh Pay Review Commission for implementing the recommendations in educational institute, University and Colleges has submitted its report to the Ministry of Human Resource Development.

Accordingly, a Committee headed by Secretary Higher Education has been constituted. The Committee will have officials from Finance Ministry and other relevant offices and it will submit its final recommendations which will go to Cabinet.

Shri Prakash Javadekar hoped that the Professors, Staff and every individual in education sector will definitely get benefited. He said ‘those who had some doubt whether government is moving or not in this direction, let me dispel their doubts that we have already started action and soon they will get good news’.

Shri Prakash Javadekar further urged the education fraternity to try more vigorously to improve the quality of education at all levels and concentrate on study, examination and assessment work.

Educational Qualification: Pass in SSC and Government Diploma in Arts with free hand outline in drawing design and painting, and a Technical Teacher’s Certificate in higher grade in drawing issued by Director of Government Exams of AP/TS

3-year Diploma in Craft Technology recognised by State Board of Technical Education

OR

Bachelor of Fine Arts (Painting, Sculpture or Print making) or BFA in Animation from UGC/ AICTE recognised Institute

Age Limit (as on 01-04-2017):Minimum 18 years and maximum 44 years

Application Fee: Each applicant has to pay Rs. 200 as Online Application Processing Fee and Rs. 120 as Examination Fee. SC, ST, BC and PH (Telangana State) and Unemployed applicants (who have declaration from commission that they are unemployed), in the age group of 18 to 44 years, have to pay Online Application Processing Fee only.

Selection Process: Selection of candidates will be made on the basis of Written Examination and Online/OMR based Examination (Objective Type).
